Clifford Cheatham, 81, a devout Christian from Hensley, AR, returned to our Lord on Sunday, September 15th.
He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1943 to Clifford H. Cheatham and Anna J. Cheatham.
As a devoted Christian who cherished his Bible, Church, and the teachings of Jesus Christ, Cliff took great solace in knowing the Lord was always watching over him. His Christian values informed every aspect of his life and molded him into the beloved person he was. He was a devoted member of The Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Hensley, Arkansas.
Cliff was a hard worker and retired from Teletype after over 25 years of service. After retiring, he returned to work and started his own business, then spent more time working for Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Cliff loved the outdoors and enjoyed deer hunting with his best friend, Phil Jones. He also loved working on projects at home and was a perfectionist that could fix anything.
He spent most mornings at East End Café, eating breakfast with a very close group of friends. He was a Senior member at this breakfast table that was known as “The Table of Truth & Knowledge.”
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford H. Cheatham and Anna J. Cheatham, his wife, Marilyn Cheatham, his beloved dog Sophie, all who met him again in Heaven this Sunday.
He is survived by two sons, Craig, Cheatham of Little Rock, AR, and Kevin Cheatham (wife, Kelly) of Hoover, AL; three grandchildren, Bradley Cheatham (wife, Cassidy) of Sheridan, AR, Bryce and Brynn Cheatham, both of Hoover, AL; Sister, Joann Gray of Prior, OK; brother, Paul Cheatham (wife, Marsha) of Texarkana, AR, Nephew Brian (wife, Kristie) of McKinney, TX and Niece Alana (husband Terry) of Prior, OK.
Cliff was beloved by everyone that knew him, and he will be missed every day.
