Connie Louise Hefley

Our beloved mother, Connie Hefley, 78, of Enola, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026. She was a force of nature and a source of endless support to all who knew and loved her. She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on June 19, 1947 to the late Bill and Frances Smith. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Hefley, Jr, and her daughter, Terri Sue Smart.

Connie found her calling as a nurse after high school and worked at various hospitals, nursing homes, and clinics throughout her career. She found her true vocation working at Conway Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Center in Conway. Connie loved working for Dr. Ghormley, the staff and patients at this cherished practice.

Connie is survived by her sons, Gary Smart (Kathy) of Millington, TN and Jason Smart of Fort Smith, AR. She adored her 5 grandchildren, Hayden, Logan, Claire, Zachary, and Joshua. Her special greeting, “I need a hug!” remains in our hearts. She will forever be remembered for her unique banter and her love for football, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks, “How about them HOGS!”

The family would like to thank her best friend, Margaret Goyne, for all of her love and support throughout many years. They would also like to thank the staffs at Conway Regional Hospital and Heritage Living Center.

Visitation will be on May 1, 2026, at 12pm followed by her Celebration of Life at 1pm at Smith Family Funeral Home in Conway.
