Coy S. Williams Collie, 87, of Jacksonville died Wednesday, May 25, 2011 with complications from Alzheimer's disease. She was born June 20, 1924 in Faulkner County, Arkansas to the late Frank and Mae Baird. She was retired from Franklin Electric.
She enjoyed working in her garden and grew such beautiful flowers that buyers would purchase them for local florists. Her quilting and crossword puzzles were also her pastimes, as well as a hot game of dominoes. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Reid Williams, Jr., one brother and 4 sisters.
She is survived by her husband JB Collie, of Jacksonville, daughter Sue Manning and husband Donald of North Little Rock, step-sons, Marvin, Jerry, Dallas, Tom, Jack, Mike and Adam Collie and sister Jane Stigall of Ferndale. JB and Coy had a combined 30 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 6-8 pm and funeral services at 10 am, Friday at Huson Funeral Home 7700 Hwy. 107, Sherwood. (501) 834-1191. Burial to follow at Rest Hills in North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice. The family would like to thank the staff of Woodland Hills Nursing and Rehab for their loving care.
