Coy Lambert

Coy Lee Lambert, age 84, of Hot Springs, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.

He was born on December 13, 1938, in Hot Springs, the son of Erman Leonard “Buddy” Lambert and Nadine Virginia Dalton Lambert.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Lambert; his parents; and two sisters, Virgina Murders and RomaLea Robertson. 

Coy was a Christian and attended First Baptist Church Hot Springs.  He was a Lake Hamilton High School graduate and a veteran of the United States Army.  He spent his career in the automotive service industry working for several dealerships in Hot Springs making countless friends along the way.

He had a charming personality and was very outgoing, never meeting a stranger and extending kindness to everyone he met.  He enjoyed golfing with his friends at Essex Park and watching sports on tv. His love of cars made NASCAR and auto auctions among his favorites.  Coy had quite a green thumb and could be found working in his yard or garden.  He enjoyed raising vegetables and flowers both. 

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Randy Maxwell; one grandchild, Morgan Maxwell (Sam Bennett); nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 4, 2023, with Bro. Mike Pounders and Bro. John McCallum officiating in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.  Visitation will be 1:00PM-2:00PM, prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Crestview Cemetery.
