Creed Michael Haigh

Creed Michel Haigh passed from this life to eternal life September 10, 2026. Mike was born in Stuttgart, Arkansas, on October 24, 1947, to Creed and Wanda Haigh, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Linda; his children, Amber Bartholmey (Jay), Jennifer Hurley (the late Justin), Jonathan Haigh (Veronica), and Abby Stanfill (Josh); his grandchildren, Dakota Bartholmey, Jakeb Hurley (Alex DerGazarian), Carson Hurley, Ethan Hurley (Zoe), Jude Hurley, Claire Hurley, Emersyn Hurley, and Leighton Stanfill; his great-grandchildren, Malakai Moore and Lucas Bartholmey; his sister, Jane Purdy; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mike graduated from Stuttgart High School in 1965 and from the University of Arkansas in 1969 with a degree in accounting. As a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity, he made many wonderful college memories, but the greatest was meeting and marrying the love of his life. Mike and Linda married at the age of 20 on January 27, 1968.

After graduation, Mike worked at a local accounting firm before starting his own firm, Lloyd, Haigh, Brock & Co. The firm was later acquired by Deloitte, where he served as managing partner until retiring in 2005. After retirement, Mike became the volunteer Executive Pastor at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship, where he had served as an elder since its inception in 1983. He remained on staff for 11 years.

Mike enjoyed serving his community. He served on the board of the Red Cross, including a time as president, and was a member of the USAble Life Board of Directors. He was also a CASA worker for the foster care system and volunteered with other organizations and outreaches.

Mike’s love for the Lord fueled everything he did. He served on the board of Ozark Conferences for 15 years and was involved in Bible Study Fellowship for 52 years, many of those as a teaching leader and area advisor. Teaching the Word of God was a passion of Mike’s, and he often led groups and Bible studies. Most of all, he loved sharing the truths of Scripture with his family.

Mike’s family was his greatest earthly priority. He and Linda shared a love that was an example of true commitment to their children and others, and they served the Lord together faithfully. Despite long hours at work and other responsibilities, he was an amazing dad and grandpa. He coached little league baseball and softball, attended dance recitals, choir concerts, and sporting events, took kids boating and fishing, played games, watched movies, and spent time around the dinner table. He loved taking his family to Sanibel Island, Florida, their favorite vacation spot for over 40 years. Mike also dreamed of visiting every Major League Baseball park in the United States, a goal he was thankful to accomplish.

While Mike’s earthly accomplishments were many, it is what God accomplished within him that is most important. Mike became a Christian at age 28, and everything he did from that point forward was done to bring honor and glory to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held at Park Hill Baptist Church, where Mike served as a deacon. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. in the Worship Center.
