Curtis Beene

Curtis Raymond "C.R." Beene, age 78 of Gurdon died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at the Advance Care Hospital in Hot Springs. He was born Jan 24, 1927 in Curtis, AR the son of the late Thurman Allen and Neva Mixon Beene. He was retired Reynolds Metal employee, a WWII Veteran and a member of the Curtis Baptist Church. He was a board member of the Curtis Fire Dept and a member of the Clark County Cattlemen Association.


Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Maggie Avanelle Herron Beene; three sons and their wives, Allen Beene and Carolyn of Malvern, Ray Been and Linda of Curtis and Rodney Beene and Dell of Arkadelphia; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, November 26, 2005 in Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel. Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cory, Cameron, Brandon, Adam, Dustin Beene and Amanda Beene Minton. Visitation will be from 6-8 Pm Friday at the funeral home.
