Cynthia Jane Lawson, 66, of Kensett, Arkansas peacefully entered into eternal rest on June 29, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born October 10, 1957, in Searcy, Arkansas to the late George Harvey Lawson and Martha Nell Lawson.
When she was younger, Cynthia enjoyed playing volleyball, being with friends, learning to cook, and going fishing. She also helped corral her younger brothers whom she loved and looked out for her entire life. But her real joy came when she became a mom herself. She loved that role more than anything. That is, until grandkids came along; they were the light of her life.
And oh, how she loved to talk about Jesus to everyone she met. Whether she was going to the jail, praying for someone in need, or teaching a Bible study, she was always available. But her passion was reading the Bible; she loved the word of God more than anything. She took every scripture to heart, and it was evident in the life she lived. Whether she was a mom, nanny, sister, or friend, she was fierce, bold and protective. To know her was to love her and her absence will be felt in the lives of family and friends until we meet again.
Cynthia is survived by her children, Alicia Cranford (Dustin), Shane Childers (Tiffany); four brothers, Jeff Lawson, James Lawson, Jerry Lawson, John Lawson; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepdad, William J. Hogue.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe, Arkansas. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Family Life Church, 3390 Hwy. 36, Searcy, Arkansas, followed by entombment in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Beebe.
