Cynthia Lu Carpenter Scales of Beebe, AR passed away on September 4, 2025 at the age of 75. She was born December 31, 1949 in Angola, IN.

A dedicated educator she spent 32 years teaching in the Beebe School District, where she impacted the lives of many students through the years

.She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Scales, her parents Billie and Gladys Carpenter and one brother, Todd Carpenter.

She is survived by her sons, Nathan (Beth) Scales of Cabot, AR, Aaron (Amy) Scales of Bella Vista, AR and her daughter Alice (Bobby) Simmons of Beebe, AR. Grandchildren: Luke (Maddy) Scales of Bentonville, AR, Emma Scales of Cabot, AR, Madi Simmons of Beebe, AR, Ethan Scales of Bella Vista, AR and Abigail Page of Beebe, AR. One brother Jon Tracy (Jody) Carpenter of Murray, KY along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Tuesday, September 9th with visitation at 10:00 am and funeral at 11:00 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. DeWitt Henry Dr. Beebe, AR 72012
