Daisy Mae Carter, 81, of Little Rock, passed away June 6, 2009. Born July 1, 1927 in Arkabutla, Mississippi to James and Daisy Lusk, she was a care giver at a local nursing home in Tennessee.
She is survived by her sons, Buck Carter (Donna) of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Ron Carter (Belinda) of Little Rock and Don Carter of Florida; brother, Joe Lee Lusk; grandsons, Scott Carter (Melissa) and Pat Carter; granddaughter, Stephanie Carter; great-grandsons, Chance Carter and Hunter Montgomery and great-granddaughters, Laura Carter and Brittney Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Carter, son, James P. Carter and granddaughters, Terry Carter and Kelly Carter.
There will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10 with visitation beginning at 1:00 prior to the service, at Tippah Memorial Gardens in Ripley, Mississippi, officiated by Brother Wayne Marshall. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Steve Comeans officiating.
