Daniel Wayne Elliott

Daniel Wayne Elliott, age 70, born on January 9, 1954, to Nelson P. Elliott, Jr. and Elizabeth Irene Elliott, left his earthly home on Saturday, December 7, 20024. Daniel leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Tracy Elliott; his sons, Robert Michael Elliott and Ronald Jason (Jamie) Elliott; and a four year old grandson, Owen, all of Benton. He also leaves behind a brother, Steve (Billie) Elliott of Tennessee, along with a host of nieces and nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by both parents as well as his brother Mike.

Daniel retired from AP&L in 1989 after amputation of both his legs from a 1974 on the job accident. Through so much adversity and many, many surgeries, Daniel held strong. His family rejoices in knowing that Daniel is so happy to be pain free, and that he is watching over them from above. He loved his family very much and he especially loved his grandson, Owen.

In celebration of Daniel’s life, a visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Smith Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, AR, 72015.

Daniel’s legacy will continue through those he held most dear, and he will be terribly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
