Daniel "Ray" Lambert

Daniel “Ray” Lambert, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

Ray was born on February 17, 1938, in Amity, the son of Clinton and Lola Lambert. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mary Alice Massey; and one brother, D. L. Lambert.

Ray was a 1955 graduate of Amity High School and shortly following his graduation he joined the United States Army.  After he was honorably discharged from the Army, Ray returned home and joined the pipeline industry, where he spent many years traveling and seeing the world, while being able to do what he loved.  He will be fondly remembered by many for always liking to wear his white t-shirts, no matter where he was planning on going.

Ray always enjoyed being on the go and you never knew where you just might see him show up.  One of his greatest joys in life was spending time at Lambert Garage, where he spent most of his days trying to line out Barry and Dickie.  He also enjoyed visiting everyone at the nursing home, trying to brighten their days. He truly loved his family and friends and Ray will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his “daughter” Glenda Davis and her husband, Chris; and his “granddaughter”, Ashleigh West, all of Hot Springs; his sister, Elsie Lambert of Amity; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 13, 2022, in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood with Rick Collie officiating.

Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Barry Lambert, Stevie Lambert, Albert Lambert, Aaron Lambert, Fenton Looper and Marty Risner.

Honorary pallbearers will be the gang at Lambert’s Garage.
