Danny Ray Johnson, 60, of Benton, Arkansas passed away November 22, 2018. He was born January 3, 1958 in Louisiana to the late Warren Benjamin and Edith Mae Higgins.
Danny was affectionately known as Santa Claus to the children in Saline County. He worked tirelessly to provide toys for children on Christmas through the Saline County Toy Commission for over seven years. Danny would dress in his Santa outfit and drive around Saline County in his trike motorcycle and participate in several Motorcycle Toy Runs. He also enjoyed wood working and helping anyone in need.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Mickey Johnson and Jerry Wayne Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Linda Johnson of Benton, Arkansas; children: Danny Johnson and wife Crystal of Benton, Arkansas, Cynthia Woods of Alexander, Arkansas, Fredrick Rodriguez of Benton, Arkansas, Rachel Turner and husband Nathan of Tull, Arkansas, Charles Rodriguez and wife Crystal of Benton, Arkansas, Melissa Kitchens and husband Chad of Benton, Arkansas, and Thomas Buie and wife Julia of Alexander, Arkansas; sixteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Davis and husband Ronnie of Haskell, Arkansas; and a host of family and friends who love Danny and will miss him always.
Family to hold a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saline County Toy Commission, 718 S. East Street, Benton, Arkansas 72015.
