Danny Gerald Price

Danny Gerald Price, 70, of Ada, Oklahoma, passed away on June 07, 2024, in Benton, Arkansas.

Danny was born on May 7, 1954, to Gerald and Lois Price in Ada, Oklahoma. After Danny graduated from Latta High School in 1972, he went on to study in Conway, AR at Central Baptist College, the college of his parents.  He joined the United States Air Force in 1973 as a Nuclear Weapons Specialist then completed his education at the University of Central Arkansas, receiving a degree in education.

Danny joined the Lewisville Police Department in Lewisville, Texas, before teaching at the Arlington Regional Police Academy in Arlington, Texas and at Texas A&M University.  An excellent teacher, he made a lasting mark on all those he taught. He then became an entrepreneur with a business in construction, and ended his career working for Loves before he entered retirement.

Danny’s hobbies were as rich and varied as his professional life.  After retirement, he became an avid landscaper always creating new landscaping ideas.  He also enjoyed reading and studying John MacArthur.  His passion was to share what he had learned.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Lois Price. His memory will be forever held in the hearts of his surviving family: his daughters, Tabetha Matthews, and her husband Eric; Gretchen Somer, and her husband Darel; his six grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Tristan Matthews, his wife Ana, and their two children Koda and Silas, Keegan Matthews, Brendan Matthews, Jacob Somer, Breanna Somer, and Isabella Somer; as well as his sister Rhonda and her husband Mark, and other extended family and friends. 

A Military Honors Service will be held on June 14, 2024, at 12:00pm at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.  Following the Service there will be a Celebration of Life at The Ridge Assembly of God Church in Sherwood, Arkansas.

Danny will be remembered as a loving father, brother, and friend.  His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
