Darwin England

Darwin England, a dedicated Army Veteran and respected member of the local community, passed on September 14, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on October 24, 1933, Darwin led a life filled with service, commitment, and faith.

A proud veteran, Darwin served his country admirably during his time in the Army. After his military service, he pursued a successful career as a pipefitter, becoming a valued member of Local Union 155. Throughout his life, Darwin was deeply rooted in Christian values, which guided him in both his personal and professional interactions. His strong faith was a cornerstone of his character, influencing those around him and inspiring many within his community.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Frances Vonnelle England; children, Fred England (Carolyn), Christopher Howard; grandchildren, Bethany Allen (Robert), Brandie Stauder (Whitney), and Curtis England (Amber); eight great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Dinah Kay Shook.

Darwin leaves behind a legacy of service and dedication, reflected in lives he touched throughout his journey. His contributions as a veteran, a union member, and a faithful believer exemplified a life lived with purpose.

Family and friends are invited to honor Darwin’s memory during a Funeral Service on September 18, 2024, at Smith Family Funeral Home located at 8801 Knoedl Ct., Little Rock, AR 72205, starting at 9:30 AM. Following the service, a burial will take place at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery located at 1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR 72120 at 11:00 AM.
