David Derrell Allison, 79, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away December 5, 2012. He was born in England, Arkansas to Joe Lafayette Allison and Rosie Etta Thompson Allison and was a member of the Al Chymia Shrine and the Royal Order of Jesters. He was a United States Air Force veteran.
Preceded in death by his parents, a sister and three brothers, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary McDonald Allison; children, Jim Allison (Dinah) of Memphis, Joe Allison (Laura) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Jeff Allison (Beth) of Collierville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Lindsey Allison, Carrie Allison, Ryan Allison (Leigh), Brent Allison, Tara Allison and Jessica Grashot (Tony); three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold Allison of Sugarland, Texas.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, December 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Rest Hills Memorial Park in Sherwood, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to the Methodist Hospice Residence, 6416 Quince Rd., Memphis, TN 38119 or to one's favorite charity.
