David Castera, 36, of Ward, Arkansas, was born December 7, 1975 at Jacksonville, Arkansas, and he died Tuesday, November 27, 2012. He was a wonderful father, family man, hard worker, and he loved his nieces and nephews as much as his own children. David served in the Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He is survived by sons Tyler Cook, David Castera, Jr. (D.J.), Stephen Castera, Tyler Retherford, Austin Retherford and Brandon Castera, all of Beebe, daughter DeLyliá Sanderlin and son Johnny Castera, both of Ward; mothers of his children, Carrie Cook-Castera, Jennifer Castera and Kathleen Brock Castera; siblings Danna Knapp and husband Robert of Wilburn, Buddy Sims and wife Ann of McRae, Sherrie Hite and husband Rick of Searcy, Tabatha Castera and husband Kevin Marsh of McRae, and Jerry Don Morris of McRae; grandmother Betty Sue Bradford of McRae; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Wanda Castera, and grandmother Ruth Williams.
Family will receive all who love him from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Lebanon Cemetery.
