In loving memory of David Leroy Douglas
Not every life follows the path we imagine. Some journeys are marked by unexpected turns, hard-fought battles, and more second chances than anyone thought possible. David’s life was imperfect, complicated, and beautifully human. He knew hardship, but he never stopped searching for something better.
To those who knew him best, David was so much more than the struggles he faced. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, a loyal friend, and a man whose heart found its home in loving others. We watched him grow into someone who found purpose in working hard, caring deeply, making people laugh, and embracing the role of a father figure to three wonderful children. Our greatest joy was watching David become the man we had always believed he could be.
On July 2nd, 2026, David passed away at the age of 32, leaving behind a family who will forever cherish the blessing of loving him.
We are not proud because his life was perfect. We are proud because he never stopped trying. Every step forward was hard-earned, every new beginning a testament to his courage. We watched him choose hope, love, and purpose, and we could not have been more proud of the man he became.
If David leaves us with anything, let it be this: a person’s greatest story is not found in their mistakes, but in the strength it takes to rise above them. His life reminded us that redemption is real, hope is never wasted, and love has the power to change a life.
David, we loved you before you found your way. We loved you while you were finding it. And we will love you for the rest of our lives.
David is survived by his parents Woody Douglas and Jennifer Pierce; his siblings, Devin Douglas, Dalton & Lexxi Buck, Amanda & Dakota Snelson; numerous nieces and nephews; his grandparents, Herman Douglas, Clair Hinkley, Randy & Karen Kemp, Vern & Barbara Illich; numerous aunts and uncles; and countless extended family members.
David is preceded in death by his grandparents Sylvia & Jeff Baker and Don Capron; his uncle Lloyd Douglas; and his stepmom Candice Douglas.
Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe. Online guest book at www.smithfamilycares.com
