David Hooker

David Ramage Hooker, 90 went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 1, 2018. He was born on July 31, 1927 in Ozan, Arkansas to Nathan "Fate" Hooker and Buena "Sudie" Ramage Hooker. He was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Rose City for over 50 years and was retired from Kroger after 38 years of service, where he was known as Captain Hook. He loved the Red Sox, Cardinals, Razorbacks, spending time with family and friends, golfing, camping and fishing but not necessarily in that order. However, he was most accomplished at horse shoes, winning many competitions and trophies. He leaves behind many friends because he never met a stranger.

He is survived by his son, Gary (Melba) Hooker, of Little Rock; daughter, Karen Hooker (Joe) Tracy, of Fogelsville, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Haley Hooker (Bryan) Floyd, Matthew (Briana) Tracy, Grayson (Kelsey) Hooker, and Jennifer Tracy (Craig) Woody; great-grandchildren, Kinley, Cooper, Gabe, and Charlie Grace, who is expected in March. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nadine Lowry Hooker and his brother, Nathan Hooker Jr.
