David Kinnard

David Cannon Kinnard, aged 63, passed away on May 12, 2017, at his home in Maumelle, Arkansas. David was born in Nashville, Tennessee, and he graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas in 1975. He was a certified public accountant, and after practicing in firms in Missouri and Arkansas was a partner in his own firm in Heber Springs, Arkansas for more than 20 years. In 2003 he left private practice to work for the State of Arkansas. He served the state in a number of positions, including Chief Financial Officer for the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality and Chief Financial Officer for the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission. He most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer at the Arkansas Department of Labor. David also loved baseball; in addition to being a passionate fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, he coached youth baseball teams for many years in Heber Springs and was a certified Arkansas Activities Association baseball umpire.
David is survived by his mother, Wilma Jean Kinnard; his wife, Linda Heath Kinnard; his children, Melody (Aaron) Kiriakidis, James (Sarah) Kinnard, and Timothy (Amy) Kinnard; his wife's children, Travis (Christina) Heath, Leigh Anne (Terry) Peak; his sisters, Linda (Bruce) Ryder and Sarah (Starling) Evins; and 14 grandchildren.
