David Wayne Lands, born on August 11, 1958, in Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on his 67th birthday, August 11, 2025.
David devoted many years of his life to his career as a supervisor with West Tree Services, where his leadership and dedication were evident to all. Known for his quiet and private demeanor, David possessed a unique blend of humor, characterized by a dry wit and an unmistakably sneaky grin that endeared him to those fortunate enough to know him.
In his leisure time, David found joy in the great outdoors, with a particular passion for hunting and fishing. He was also affectionately described as a pack rat, a testament to his appreciation for the little things that made life memorable.
David is survived by three sisters: Marian Nichols and her husband Charles of Bryant, Arkansas; Billie Castera and her husband Ron of Searcy, Arkansas; and Lou Giaimo of Benton, Arkansas. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who love him deeply and will miss him always.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Blake and Matthew Lands, as well as his parents, Clarence S. and Luvurn (Burns) Lands. The loss of David is felt profoundly by all who knew him, including his two brothers, Jerry Lands and Sammy Lands, and two sisters, Dorothy Grundy and Jo Wise, who have also passed.
David Wayne Lands will be remembered for his gentle spirit and the lasting impact he made on those around him. May he rest in peace.
