Listen to Obituary

With the deepest love, we announce the passing of David Gary Puckett, a devoted and caring father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. David Gary, known to his loved ones as Gary, was born on December 23, 1945 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to loving parents Paul Clive Puckett and Estelle Clementine Henley Puckett.

He taught his family the value of family bonds and showed love through his actions, strength, laughter, and words. He will be remembered for his humor and kind heart, and the way he took care of his loved ones. Gary was known for the way he valued his family, for his work ethic, and his love of the outdoors, loving hunting, fishing and his prize winning hunting dogs. Gary also enjoyed as hobbies listening to karaoke and music, and socializing with friends. He was a truck driver and had a truck driver school in the past, and was an auctioneer later in life.

He is survived by his son, Gary Eugene Puckett, grandchildren Cody Puckett and Cynthia Puckett, his great grandchildren David Puckett and Greyson and George Allen, sister Judy Arline Puckett, his former wife of many years and mother of his sons, Imogene, his Aunt Mary Ray, and a multitude of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, son David Lee Puckett, brother Billy Curtis Puckett, and sister Katie Lee Puckett. His family will carry his memory forward through the lessons, stories, and love he gave so generously.

A visitation and memorial service will be held in honor of Gary on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to gather for the visitation at 3:00 p.m., with the memorial service commencing immediately afterward at 4:00 p.m.
