David Schmid
David Steven Schmid age 33 of Arkadelphia died Saturday, April 28, 2012 near Arkadelphia. He was born September 15, 1978 in Oak Park, Illinois. He was a college counselor at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, a drummer for Blind Opie, an avid Razorback and Cubs fan. David held a Bachelors and Masters degree from Henderson State University.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Dr. Richard and Dusty Schmid of Arkadelphia; his mother, Elyse Price of Sherwood, Arkansas; one sister, Lisa Schmid Fray and husband, Robert of North Little Rock; maternal grandparents, The Rev. Dr. Edwin and Erma Suelflow of Sussex, Wisconsin; one nephew, Steven Fray and one niece, Sophia Fray both of North Little Rock and a lots of other family and many friends.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday, May 3, 2012 at First Lutheran Church in Little Rock. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to Henderson State University Scholarship Fund.
