David Rondal Wagnon, 64, was born Friday April 3, 1953 in Hot Springs AR. According to his grandmother his birthday has been called "Good Friday" as he was born the Friday before Easter. David grew up in many places throughout the United States and overseas as his father was in the military.
David is a graduate of Jacksonville High School. He attended the University of Arkansas on a football scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Physics. David played football for the Razorbacks, but his time was cut short due to a knee injury.
David was best known for his sense of humor and storytelling. He never could pass up a good practical joke or story that sounded just true enough to make you wonder if it was true. David was an influential person that god has shared with all of us. He was a teacher and a true role model for many family members and friends. David was a "foodie" and loved to share his passion for trying new food with others.
David loved having fun. His favorite pastimes were yoga, frisbee golf, traveling, photography and reading. He had created a life size foosball game and an elaborate shooting range (David loved blowing stuff up.) He tried to make sure everyone was having fun.
David loved his wife Tonia (Toni). He had said "I wish I had another lifetime to spend with her." He wanted the world to know that he had found his true love, and what a wonderful friend and wife she was. Toni took care of David and loved him till his last breath. David and Toni truly epitomized the vow of "In sickness and in health, till death do us part." God sends us people to teach us lessons and to remind of us what is important in life. David was one of those people. David was a hardworking man who loved his children, Christy, Luke, and Jesse.
A celebration of David's life will be held on Saturday, June 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God in Warren, Arkansas. David had a passion for helping people, especially children.
