Deborah "Debbye" Karr Estes Maxwell

Deborah “Debbye” Karr Estes Maxwell passed away on July 31, 2024. Debbye was a legal secretary and retired from Gill, Ragon,Owen P.A.

She is survived by her son, Seth Maxwell; her brother, Bill Estes and sister-in-law, Dianne Estes; nephew, Will Estes; and grandchildren, Christen, Sterling, Casey, Chase, and Kinsey; and great- grandchildren, Nash, Maggie, Charlee, Blaze, and Braden. She cherished her time caring for her grandchildren, especially Blaze, who held a special place in her heart.

She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Lois Estes; and her special friend, Ed Joyce.

Debbye was a passionate sports enthusiast, known for her love of the Razorbacks and the Dallas Cowboys, and for her ability to quote stats with the best of them. 

As an animal lover, Debbye was always willing to dog sit for family and friends, never asking for anything in return. She had a generous spirit, always putting others before herself.

Debbye was a free spirit, an old hippy with a heart of gold. She is now soaring with the eagles, her smile as bright as ever. She will be forever in our hearts. A golden heart has stopped beating, and hard-working hands are at rest. God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best.

A visitation will be held at 5:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of her Life at 6:00 pm on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock, Arkansas. At a later date, she will be laid to rest next to her parents in Pinecrest Memorial Park, and with her longtime friend, Ed Joyce.
