Debra Cox-Kliewer

May 23, 1954 — November 21, 2023

Benton

We regretfully announce the passing of Debra Cox-Kliewer, 69, of Benton, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Debbie was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully.

Our Mom and Meme was one of the strongest women to ever walk this earth and we were blessed to have her as the head of our family. She was born to Olen and Eva Cox on May 23, 1954. Debbie graduated from Parkview high school in 1972. After graduating, she went on to college at UALR for a short time before marrying and having two children, Bret and Jessica. She went on to raise three of her step-children, Cassie, Brandy, and Timmy, who she loved dearly. In 2002 she married her wonderful husband Wayne and they raised her grand children, Morgan and Blake, together. Debbie had a wonderful sense of humor and was able to light up the room with her presence. She loved to spend her free time watching Hallmark and Little House on the Prairie while doing arts and crafts to make gifts for her family and friends. Her main passion in life was taking care of her family. She dedicated herself to her children and grand children and always prioritized making sure we knew how much she loved us. Debbie spent over ten years with her brother Greg caring for their parents in their final years.

Debbie was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Eva Cox; brother, Greg Cox; and daughter, Jessica Morgan. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Kliewer; son, Bret Morgan; grandchildren, Morgan George (and granddog Diamond); Blake Potter (and grandcat Jamie); Alexis, Jasmine and Xander Morgan; sister-in-law, Tonia Cox; niece, Sabrina Cox (Steven Smith); chosen sister Drendia Travers, and countless other family and friends.

Services were held and entrusted to Smith-Benton Funeral Home.  Online guestbook:  www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
