Delia Cordero

Delia Ann Cordero, 55, of Dallas, Texas went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, April 14, 2017 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas surrounded by family. She was born September 16, 1961 in Lamesa, Texas.
Delia was a dedicated Christian and spent countless hours in prayer for others. She was a listening ear and shoulder to cry on for anyone who came to her with a need. She constantly put others before herself and rarely asked for anything in return. She was a people person, and loved engaging with everyone. Her big, bright, beautiful smile is something that will be engraved in the hearts of everyone that had the blessing of knowing her. She thoroughly enjoyed the years she spent working as a Mary Kay consultant where her outgoing personality got to shine. She also enjoyed cooking, and loved having guests over to eat her delicious home-cooked meals. Her selfless, caring heart allowed her to find no better joy than in making other people happy.
Of all the things that Delia was, she was most proud of being a mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home mom to raise five beautiful girls and when her grandchildren were brought into this world her heart was overtaken with joy. The amount of love and sacrifice she offered her husband and family is beyond that of what can be put into words. There were no limits as to how far she would go to ensure her daughters and grandchildren were happy and well. Her nurturing soul was a gift to us all and will be greatly missed by any who knew her.
Delia was preceded in death by her dedicated stepdad, Regie Billings. Delia is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 35 years, John Victor Cordero; her mother, Tina Billings; daughters, Krystal Walton, Amanda Nwokoro, Sarah Smith, Deborah Cordero, and her niece of whom she raised, Christian Longoria; grandchildren, Caden Walton, Jaxton Nwokoro, and Analia Walton; brothers, David Longoria, Daniel Longoria, Paul Longoria, and Michael Longoria; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home with a time for visitation at 1 p.m.
