Delores Ann Sowerbrower was born on February 21, 1942, and peacefully entered the presence of Jesus on October 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her sons at her home in Jacksonville. She leaves behind a cherished legacy and is remembered by her sons, Alan (Leslie) and Andy (Kelli); her grandchildren, Sidney, Andrew, Sam, Samantha, and Alina; her great-grandson, Henry; her dear sister, Linda Hollowell; and a vast circle of beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Delores retired after decades of dedicated service with the Corporate Extension Service. After retirement, she found joy in fellowship at St. Patrick Catholic Church, cherished visits with her family, and delighted in the playful warmth of her beloved pets. As a committed keeper of memories, she filled countless photo albums that her family will treasure forever as reminders of a life lived to its fullest.
With heartfelt appreciation, our family expresses profound gratitude to Joanna and Terry Hanson, whose unwavering devotion and tender care brought immeasurable comfort to Delores in her later years. Though we mourn her absence, our hearts are comforted in knowing she is reunited in heavenly peace with her beloved husband, Pete—who has waited patiently for her for nearly twenty years—and rests safely in the arms of her Savior.
Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Delores’s life with a Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, followed by a graveside service, on Monday, October 26, at 11:00 am.
In loving memory of Delores, memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or Arkansas Hospice. We remain forever grateful to both organizations for their comforting prayers and steadfast support until the very end.
