Delvin "Brad" Burkes Jr., 51, left this earth on Thursday, July 31, 2025. He was born January 14, 1974, in Russellville, Arkansas, to Delvin and Alice Burkes.
Brad was a 1992 graduate of Lakeside High School. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and Razorback fan. He was well-known in the community as a Master Plumber who worked for many years alongside his father at Burkes Plumbing. Eventually, Brad went to work for the City of Hot Springs as the Plumbing/Building Safety Inspector. Many who knew Brad well knew of his struggles with addiction. In and out of rehab, he found purpose in sharing his testimony of how God restored his life to others who suffered from addiction at Jumpstart Ministries in NE Arkansas.
Brad was preceded in death by his father, Delvin Burkes Sr.; his mom, Alice Culliver Burkes; twin sisters, whom he never had the pleasure of meeting; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins who were dear to his heart. He is survived by his twin sons, Austin and Christian Burkes of Little Rock.
A visitation will be held Friday, August 8, 2025, from 5-8 pm at Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Samaritan Ministries at 131 Sanford St. Hot Springs, AR. 71901.
Brad was loved by many and will be missed dearly.
