Listen to Obituary

Dennis D. Hamilton, 78, of Houston, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026. He was born on January 20, 1948, and lived a life rooted deeply in faith, service, and redemption.

Dennis was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy Hamilton, and his son, Toby Hamilton. Though his heart carried the weight of those losses, his life stood as a testament to unwavering faith and perseverance through Christ.

He is survived by his son, Shane Hamilton; his granddaughters, Robin Christianson (Allen John) and Reagan Hamilton; and his great-grandsons, Nolan and Boston Christianson, who were a source of great joy and pride. Dennis also leaves behind cherished lifelong friends Floyd McCann, whom he lovingly called “Dad,” and Karen McCann, whom he called “Sis,” bonds formed not by blood, but by deep love and loyalty.

Dennis was the founder of New Beginnings Ministry, a spiritual boot camp devoted to helping men overcome life’s struggles through faith, discipline, and the transforming power of Jesus Christ. His passion was meeting people where they were and walking beside them as they rebuilt their lives on a foundation of hope and truth. Many lives were changed through his obedience to God’s calling, and his legacy will continue through the men he mentored and the faith he planted.

A man of strong conviction and humble spirit, Dennis lived by the Word of God and shared it freely with others. One of the verses that reflected his life and mission comes from 2 Corinthians 5:17:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

Dennis’s life was a living example of new beginnings, forgiveness, and grace. While he will be deeply missed, his family and friends find comfort in knowing he has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
