Dennis Hollifield

Dennis Hollifield, age 74, of Hopper, died Thursday, November 22, 2012. He was born on September 12, 1938 at Hopper, the son of Felton Glen Hollifield and Edith Bumpass Hollifield. On June 1, 1963, he was married to Mary Price. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Denise Baker; and his parents. A retired farmer and truck driver, he served as an elder for the Hopper Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hollifield of Hopper; his son and daughter-in-law, John and Melanie Hollifield of Hopper; his son-in-law, Mike Baker of Glenwood; four grandchildren, Kimberly Leigh, Kevin "Bubba" Baker, Emily Hollifield and Jessie Hollifield; and his sister, Linda Hollifield of Hopper. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 25, 2012 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Harold Vaughn and Ed Coffman officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in the Hopper Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Price, Joseph Price, Neal Price, Tracy Deaton, Luke Deaton and Tyler Price.
