Dennis Milam

Dennis Ray Milam, born April 17, 1943, age 78, went peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on January 24, 2022.  He was the son of Bill and Ethel (Woodard) Milam of Little Rock.

Dennis grew up and attended schools in Little Rock.  He graduated from Harding College in 1965 and went on to receive his MBA from St. Louis University and Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth University in Hanover, New Hampshire.  He worked in Marketing and Sales for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and Smith, Kline, and French Laboratories, Ltd.  In addition, he was very artistically talented and was in the jewelry design business from 1985-1995.  He retired as Marketing Director for Biotechnical Services, Inc. (BSI) in North Little Rock in 2001.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 25 years, Rita Huie Milam of North Little Rock; his mother, Ethel Milam of Little Rock; his two children from a previous marriage, Cristi (Bryan) Bishop of Baltimore, MD and Scott Milam of Searcy, AR; and three grandchildren.  He also leaves to cherish his loving memory beloved aunts, Opal Bailey of Searcy, Arkansas and Jean Harkrider of Little Rock; cousins, Paul Whitlock of Melbourne, Florida, Rayma (Lou) Boccio of New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, Karyl (Marcella) Bailey of Searcy, Arkansas, and Betty Miller of Lakeland, Tennessee; as well as a whole host of close friends.

Dennis was a devoted member of Pinnacle Church of Christ and had a strong faith in his Christian beliefs that carried him through life and trials. He served the Lord by giving of his time and talents and contributing to the welfare of others.

To honor his wishes, he requested that his remains be cremated, and his ashes spread over the Gulf of Mexico where he loved to fish with loved ones. Because of the pandemic, a memorial service for Dennis will be held in the spring. Arrangements by Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, www.smithfamilycares.com.
