Dennis R. Smith

Dennis Smith was born on May 13th, 1955 to Glendon "Toby" Smith and Virginia Welch Smith, passed away at age 70 on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026.

Most of his life was spent in Hot Springs, Arkansas where he loved being a part of the Veterans of Valor. The R and R weekend with Veterans of Valor at Lake Ouachita was a big deal to him and it meant so much! He loved the Military and he loved the USA! He truly enjoyed auctions and sharing his finds with friends and family! Dennis always had a story and some kind of auction goodie to share! Family get togethers in Newhope, Arkansas was always a great time for Dennis. Those special gatherings meant good food and a fun time for Den.

Lots of stories about Dennis will fill our hearts for years as we reflect on the time we spent with him!!

He is predeceased by his parents; his sister, Barbara Blackwood; and brother, Jeff Head;

We would also like to say a special thank you to his good friend Richard for all he did for Dennis.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 14, at 11:00 am in the Hot Springs Chapel. A visitation will be held an hour prior at 10:00 am. Interment be at Pleasant Grove cemetery in New Hope, Arkansas.
