Dewayne Graham, 63, of Sherwood was born on September 16, 1949, in Birmingham, Alabama, to Cecil and Ozella Graham. Mr. Graham passed away after an extended illness at St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock on Wednesday, November 28, 2012.
Dewayne was well known for his radio talk show in McComb, Mississippi and his investigative reporting while employed at several television stations in Baton Rouge, LA. His work history includes, Fox 16 News and KMTL AM 760. He was best known in Arkansas for his work at KATV Channel 7 as "7 On Your Side" and will be remembered for serving as an advocate for Arkansas consumers.
Dewayne was loved and will be missed by his surviving family: his wife, Sandra Etheridge Graham, of Sherwood; his father, Cecil Graham of London, KY; his mother, Ozella Stokes of Vance, AL; his children, David Graham and wife Roxie of Elgin, IL; Sheila Fitts and husband Marc of Little Rock; Johnny Ray Graham of Little Rock; one sister, Kathy Adams and husband Steve of London, KY; one brother, Mickey Graham and wife Nancy of Pensacola, FL eight grandchildren: Kolby and Taylor Graham; Dana Potts; Ayden, Rhea and Liam Fitts, Alex and Connor Graham, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends as well as his beloved yorkie; Prissy Prancer. Dewayne was preceded in death by his grandparents, Snow and Katherine Graham of Birmingham, AL and Percy and Lela Garrison of Oneonea, AL.
Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel, 1921 Main St. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Arrangements by Peaceful Haven Funeral Home, 322 N. Market, Benton, Arkansas. Donations may be made directly to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
