Dewey Murry Worthey, Jr., 90, of Conway, passed away quietly at his home with his companion, Bess Jones, by his side, April 10, 2017. He was born in Washington, Arkansas to Dewey and Eva Marie Nix Worthey and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and Korea.
He is survived by his sons, David Worthey, Thomas Worthey and Wendell Worthey (Chris); daughter, Loretta Kay Fudoli (Jimmy); and brothers, Don Worthey (Linda) and Manuel Worthey (Jonnie); grandchildren, Dustin, Daniel and Whitney Worthey, Stacy Travis, Paula Brittan, Sandra Morgan, Brock Fudoli, Kristi Burkham, and David, Dewayne and Shawn Worthey; sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson and a host of nieces and nephews who adored him. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen Worthey, brother, Dillard Worthey, sisters, Dorothy Norvell, Jewell Hartsfield and Maxine Quillin, and daughters, Sandra Gail Worthey and Eva Marie Roznovsky.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Holly Grove Church on Highway 29 North in Hempstead County, followed by interment with Military Honors at Holly Grove Cemetery. Don Worthey will officiate.
