Diane Gates

Listen to Obituary

Diane “Fowler” Gates was born on June 26th, 1952, to Ray and Nellie Fowler in Little Rock, Arkansas. On May 25th, 1973, she married her soul mate, Bud Gates. Together they had three sons: David, Michael, and Timothy. They were her pride and joy.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, fantastic grandma, and fabulous mother-in-law, whose life was defined by love, faith, and service to others.

As a wife, Diane shared a life built on love, commitment, and faith. As a mother, Mom was everything. She brought light and laughter into their home. She taught life lessons and kindness. As Grandma, her grandchildren: Jaelyn, Grace, and Mikey held a special place in her heart and she cherished every moment spent with them. As a mother-in-law, Diane didn’t just have daughters-in-laws, she had daughters, Alice and April, whom she adored greatly. She was a source of love, support, and family connection.

Diane had a special love for animals, especially her beloved cats. Her gentle heart and caring spirit extended to every living thing she encountered. Her faith was a central part of who she was and how she lived her life. She carried that faith with grace and shared God’s love every day.

Diane leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her family, friends, former colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though her absence leaves a profound emptiness, her memory will remain a blessing and a reminder of a life beautifully lived.

Diane passed away gracefully on August 22nd, 2026. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is at peace, resting in the loving embrace of her Lord and Savior.

She was deeply loved. She will be greatly missed. And she will never be forgotten.
