Diann McCulley Black

Doris "Diann" McCulley Black, age 57, of Black Springs, was called home on Thursday, November 2, 2017. She was born on September 10, 1960, in Prescott, the daughter of Charlie Paul McCulley and Annie Gilline Taylor McCulley. On July 21, 1979, she was married to James "Cub" Black. She was preceded in death by her parents, a baby sister, Linda McCulley, her in-laws, Marvin and Delois Black, her brothers-in-law, Johnny McGuirt and Floyd "Butch" Black, and a nephew, Darren Lee Fryar. She was an active member of Murphy Baptist Church, and a loving wife, mother, and Nay-Nay. She was a dedicated food service worker having served 26 years at Caddo Hills School and 25 years at Camp Ozark. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, James "Cub" Black of Black Springs; two sons, James Paul Black and his girlfriend, Santana Coronado, and Randy Black and his wife, Bailey, all of Black Springs; four grandchildren, Garrett, Culley and Kelsi Black, all of Mount Ida, and MayBelle Black of Black Springs; four sisters, Dora McCulley of Texarkana, Texas, Sue McGuirt of Gurdon, Dorothy Crawford and her husband, Charles, of DeKalb, Texas and Donna Lemons and husband, Troy, of Texarkana, Texas; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, James and Linda Gaston, Deborah Black, Steve and Marilyn Warren and Joey and Lynette Black, all of Black Springs; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, November 6, 2017, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. Ronnie Hardin and Bro. Doug Wills officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Murphy Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Hamrick, Cody Mauldin, Cole Mauldin, Alex Bradford, Jimmy Gaston, Russell Fryar, Chris Warren, Shane Black and Brian Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be Molly and Reannon Black, her friends from Caddo Hills School and the Camp Ozark family. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
