D. L. Harkey, 82, of Sherwood, passed away Friday, July 13, 2007. He was born April 26, 1925 at Jacksonville, Arkansas. He was the son of Dan and Callie Allen Harkey. D. L. was a retired landscape manager and a member of Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Rena Mitchell Harkey of Sherwood; one daughter, Cindy Grisham of Little Rock; two brothers, Henry N. Harkey of Cabot and James Larry Harkey of Jacksonville; two sisters, Anna Belle Barnard of Jacksonville and Emma Jean Gwin of Jacksonville; nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer?s Arkansas, 10411 W. Markham, Little Rock, AR, 72205, www.alzark.org.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., at Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church, 9921 Sylvan Hills Hwy., Sherwood, AR. Burial will be at Harmony Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.northlittlerockfuneralhome.com
