Don Porter

Don Porter, age 75, of Arkadelphia, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

He was born on September 2, 1948, in Hopper, the son of Harvey Lee Porter and Alice Porter. He was preceded in death by his parents; ten brothers; one sister; and one brother-in-law.

Don had an amazing work ethic that was admired by all. He worked many years for Bean Lumber Company. In his free time, Don loved to be outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Don is survived by his two sisters and brother-in-law, Opal and Jim Ledbetter of Gurdon and Gracie Fryar of Glenwood; his three sister-in-laws. Pauline Porter of Crescent, Oregon, Pat Porter of Gardiner, Oregon, and Beatrice Porter of Caddo Gap;  and his many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Fancy Hill Cemetery with Bro. Tim Love officiating. 

Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews.
