SMSgt Donald F. "Doodle" Davis (USAF, Ret.), 80, of Little Rock, born April 10, 1932 at Grays, Arkansas, passed away on February 20, 2013. He was a lifetime Methodist and a member of the First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sisty Kelley Davis; sons, Larry F. Davis (Robin) of Whitewright, Texas and Stephen K. Davis of England, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Faleena Dempsey and Sara Davis; and two great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Emily. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Lawyer; father, Robert Davis; sister, Bernice Davis; and a son, Ronald T. Davis.
Don was an avid sportsman. He was a member of the Little Rock DP's golf group at Rebsamen Golf Course and had 9 holes in one in his lifetime. He made All State in basketball and football during his junior and senior years in high school.
He retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years and retired from the Federal Aviation Agency in 1987. He's been to all 48 continental U.S. states plus Alaska, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Nova Scotia, Greenland, Azores, Portugal, Spain and Germany.

Services will be Saturday February 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock, with Rev. Mary Jane Cole officiating. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Graveside services will be in McCrory, Arkansas at Odd Fellows Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Carla Ray Thompson.
