Donald E. Rice

Donald E. Rice, 93, passed away Friday morning, February 20th to go and be with our lord. He was married to Ann Rice and would have celebrated their 70th anniversary in March, He was preceded in death by his mother and father and six of seven sisters. He is survived by his wife, Ann, of 69 years, sister Jean Branit of Kansas City, Mo., sons Don Rice, Jr. (Melissa) of Little Rock, Kyle Rice (Patty) of Conway, grandsons John Rice (Christina), Brian Rice (Aerial) and three great grandchildren, He graduated from the University of Arkansas and served in the Army in the Korean War conflict. He was loved by all who knew him and loved spending time with friends and family. He worked for the Employment Security Division for 30 years and retired at 55 to be a builder with Bill Hearnsberger. He loved working with his hands and had a great work ethic; often working for free repairing peoples homes, cars or plumbing etc. He was a great sportsman, carpenter and was a man of great integrity, He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Little Rock for 62 years. We loved him and he will be missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of life service will be held at First Baptist Church, l2 Pleasant Valley Dr, Little Rock, AR on Friday, February 22th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will precede the service at 10:00 a.m. in the foyer of the church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Little Rock, AR.
