Donna Free

Donna Carol Mathis Free, age 56, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord January 13, 2026. She was born in Searcy, Arkansas on August 12, 1969, to Thomas Carroll and Jo Ann Mathis.

While working at Hunt & Bell Law Firm, she helped found Economic Recovery Consultants, Inc., a collection agency in Searcy. In 2008 she became the head of the legal department at ERC where she worked for the rest of her career.

Donna was co-owner of A Little Bit of This N That Flea Market in Beebe. She enjoyed going to auctions and loved to socialize with the customers and vendors. She was an avid Razorbacks basketball fan, loved animals, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Donna is survived by her father and stepmother, Carroll and Teresa Mathis; her son Hunter Free; one brother, Mike (Cheryl) Mathis; one sister, Christy (Mitch) Helms, all of Beebe; her stepbrother Kevin Brown; her special friend, Jerry Harris; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jo Ann Mathis and her husband, Ralph Free, and her grandparents.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe, Arkansas. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, with burial in Howell Cemetery. Online guestbook at www.smithfamilycares.com.
