Donna Woolman Kelly, a woman full of spunk and light, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at the age of 93. She was funny, strong, and loving. Born in Ponca City, Oklahoma, Donna grew up in Lubbock, Texas, where her vibrant spirit began to shine. There she raised four children, the great loves of her life.
She built a remarkable career that took her from the oil business in Midland, Texas – where she served as president of the American Heart Association – to the fashion industry in New Jersey, and finally to running her own successful interior design business - a true trailblazer! Her talent and determination kept her working well into her 80s, inspiring everyone who knew her.
But more than anything, Donna was a collector of people. She had countless friends, but her core girlfriends – Liz, Melba, and Linda – were with her throughout her life long.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Wooly and Juanita Woolman, her husband Dan, her sister Jacque Perry, and her brother Butch Woolman.
She is survived by her wonderful children: Rebecca Brown, Doug Neill, Karrie Chase-Neill, Parke Neill, Dyanne Neill, and Scott Neill; her grandchildren Maggie Crain (Kevin), Nivah Eckert (John), Alysia Neill, Amanda Neill, Heather Williams (Brian), Taylor Neill (Bianca), Adam Neill, Hannah Finley (Beau). She also leaves behind her sisters Polly Church and Sherrie Urrutia, (Tom), along with 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry forward her legacy of love. And boy, did she love her family, loving them so well with her whole heart.
Above all, Donna loved the Lord with all her soul and spent her life pointing everyone toward His saving grace. Her light will continue to shine through all the lives she touched.
Her family would like to thank the angels-from-heaven at Montgomery County Nursing Home, who cared for our mother so patiently and lovingly. We will forever be grateful.
The family will honor Donna's life on Thursday, August 7th, at Smith Family Funeral Home, located at 209 North 3rd Street, Glenwood, AR 71943. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. All are welcome to attend.
