Donna Renee Remphrey, 65, of Maumelle, Arkansas, passed away on September 10, 2026. She was born October 1, 1960, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Donna lived life in her own way, with a strong sense of individuality, a deep love for her family, and a personality that was impossible to forget.
Donna was proud of who she was and never felt the need to be like anyone else. She embraced the things that made her different and was unapologetically herself. Those who knew her will remember her distinctive personality, her strong presence, and the lasting impression she made wherever she went.
Some of the names she cherished most were Mama, Mama Donna, Aunt Donna, and Mammaw. Being a mother and grandmother brought Donna tremendous joy. She loved her family deeply, loved watching them grow, and took great pride in the children and grandchildren who meant so much to her.
Donna never met a stranger. She could make a friend in the Wal-Mart checkout line if someone gave her the chance to talk. She had a way of commanding a room—when Donna walked in, you knew she was there—but she also had a gift for making the people around her feel seen and important. She was Mama Donna not only to her daughters, but to friends, family, and even strangers who needed someone to care. That was simply who she was.
Donna is survived by her daughters, Andrea Knicely (Kody), Stacey Ferrell, and Dolly Stokes (Josh); her grandchildren, Alex Ward, Riley Ward, Austin Atwell, Roxie Stokes, Clara Ziegler, Benny Ziegler, and Clark Knicely; her mother, Leona Terry; her brothers, Sandy Roberts and Kasey Wilson; her uncle, Fred Roberts; and her stepmother, Delores Skelton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Skelton; stepfathers, Charlie Roberts and John Terry; brother, David Skelton; and sisters, Kimberly Dawn Cahill and Charlotte Skelton.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Life Church Little Rock, 9415 Stagecoach Road, Little Rock, AR 72210, from 1:30 PM–2:30 PM, with a Celebration of Life Service to follow.
Donna will be deeply missed by everyone who loved her. Her stories, her laughter, her strong personality, and the love she gave her family will live on in the people she leaves behind. Donna was one of a kind-and she wouldn't have had it any other way.
