Listen to Obituary

Donna Sheridan of Cabot, Arkansas, left this world on June 27, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on May 31, 1951, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Donna devoted many years of her life to the nursing profession and most recently was a dedicated gate worker for CT Sports–helping with baseball tournaments, where she made many friends.

Donna was a graduate of Benton High School Class of 1969. Donna grew up attending Holland Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and growing various flowers (especially roses), cooking (which was her love language) and spending time with her family. She spent many hours making her loved ones special pies, muffins, fudge and cooking their favorite meals. Donna was the family historian–she remembered every detail of how things “used to be”. She cherished every moment spent with her fiance Robert, her children and grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her fiance, Robert Hammett; daughter, Felicia McBay; son, Shaun Sheridan; grandchildren, Jared Gwatney, Blake (Katlyn) Gwatney; and a great grandson, Carter Gwatney; sister, Jackie (Johnny) Dawson; brother, Harold (Renee) Edmonson, sister-in-law, Regina Edmonson as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Jean Edmonson and brother, Danny Edmonson.

Donna will be remembered for her loving spirit and how she encouraged and supported others. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A memorial service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 10am at Smith Family Funeral Home in Benton, Arkansas.
