Donnie "Don" Hamilton

Donnie “Don” Hamilton, age 60, of Glenwood, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

He was born on February 3, 1961, in Hot Springs, the son of Albert Lee Hamilton and Litha Marie Cogburn Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy Jean Hamilton; his parents; and three brothers, Junior Hamilton, Ricky Hamilton and Ronnie Hamilton.

Don was Pentecostal in his faith and was a logger for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, gardening and just sitting and watching the many birds eat from his bird feeder. Don truly loved his family and his greatest joy in life was spending time with them. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Don is survived by his two daughters and one son-in-law, Crista Hamilton and Cristie and Johnny Pitchford, all of Glenwood; four granddaughters, Shalyn, Hannah, Cassie and Shanikka; two brothers, Larry Hamilton and Dan Hamilton, both of Glenwood; one sister, Bonnie Cogburn of Black Springs; his sister-in-law, Andrea Hamilton of Norman; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 2, 2021, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Greg Hamner officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home.

Interment will be in the Gaston Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Allen Hamilton, Larry Don Hamilton, Travis Hamilton, Chance Johnson, Johnny Pitchford and Lee Baugher.
