Dora Lean Romes

Dora Lean Romes was born June 5, 1938 in Stuttgart, AR to Herman and Louvine Bone. She professed her belief in Christ at a young age and was baptized in England Ar. She was a member of First Assembly of God North Little Rock.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Manuel Romes; her parents, Herman Bone and Louvine Riddle; four brothers, Thurman, George Isaac, Columbus, and Donald Lee; seven sisters, Alberta Johnson, Savannah Williams, Nancy Fitzpatrick, Dorothy Green-Douglas, Azzie Lee Bone-Winn, Katie B. Romes, and Verline Morris; and her grandson, Bryson Harris.

She departed this life on Thursday, May 7, 2026. She leaves five children to cherish her memory: Larry (Sue) Johnson Sr., Sylvia (Eric) Harris, and Stacy (Kimberly) Johnson, all of Sherwood; Tammy (Larry) Clark of Little Rock; and Terry Telisa Johnson of North Little Rock.

She is also survived by one brother, Rickey Bone (Mary Alice) of Little Rock; four brothers-in-law, Freddie Romes Sr. and Jerry Romes Sr. of North Little Rock, Johnny Romes (Linda) of Little Rock, and William Paul (Carol) Johnson of California; and three sisters-in-law, Mary Bone of Texas, Betty Barbee, and Nannie Mae Smith of North Little Rock; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The burial will be held at the Little Rock National Cemetery at 11:30 am. The repast will be held at Eastern Star Baptist Church 2701 East 2nd Street North Little Rock, Ar 72114 following the burial.
