Dorcas Mae Miller

Dorcas Mae Miller, age 87, of Saline County, Arkansas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Monday, September 7, 2026. She was born August 21, 1939, to Joseph and Bessie Hernandez.

Dorcas was an amazing caregiver — devoted to her family and to the little preschool children she cared for. She truly enjoyed family gatherings and cooking for the holidays.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Miller, with whom she shared 54 years of marriage; her son, Joseph Miller; her parents; five brothers, Robert, Roy, Billy, Richard, and Danny; and three sisters, Priscilla, Margaret, and Linda.

Dorcas is survived by her children, Pam Madison and her husband Roger, and Jimbo Miller and his wife Monica; her seven grandchildren, Amber Shell and her spouse Taylar, Robert Baker, Bethany Hudgens and her husband Gabe, Beau Miller and his wife Denise, Dillon Madison and his wife Alexis, Bailey Madison, and Andrea Pazmiño Bravo; and her nine great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Kolton, Bradyn, Emersyn, EllyMae, Wesley, Levi, Daisy, and Percy. She is also survived by her brother James and sisters Virginia, Marianne, and Glenda; her caretaker and friend Sandra O’Neal; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home – Benton, located at 322 N Market St, Benton, AR 72015.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home – North Little Rock, located at 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72114. Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 Hwy 5 N, Alexander, AR 72002.
