Doris Harvey

Doris Irene "Annie" Harvey of Sherwood, Arkansas, rejoined her Savior Jesus Christ, Tuesday, December 31, 2013. She was born to the late Ira Noel Lewis and Grace Irene Peters on February 8, 1925. She married her soul mate, Orvin Harvey, on June 6, 1942 and they had three children together.
In addition to raising her own children, she devoted her life to caring for others' children. She helped raise many of her own grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as children living in her neighborhood.
A devout Christian, Mrs. Harvey regularly worshipped at Glad Tidings Assembly of God in North Little Rock for many years.
She is survived by her three children: Buddy Harvey (Leigh Ann), Sheila Elliott (Rick), and Arlis Harvey (Shelley) all of Sherwood, Arkansas. She is survived by six grandchildren: Zac Elliott (Sarah) of Riverton, Utah; Joshua Harvey of Little Rock, Arkansas; Kirsten and Kendyl Elliott of Sherwood, Arkansas; and Faith and Hope Harvey of Sherwood, Arkansas. In addition, she is survived by four great-grandchildren: Abigail, Camille, Emma, and Jacob Elliott, all of Riverton, Utah and a brother, Noel D. Lewis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Orvin Harvey, as well as her parents, Ira Noel Lewis and Grace Irene Peters; and her brother, Robert Earl Lewis.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
