Doris Jean Garrett Smith Whittemore, 68, of Tennessee passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Whittemore, of Bartlett, Tennessee; daughter, Marilyn Susie (Dale) Jones, of Black Oak, Arkansas; son, Jim (Shauna) Smith, of Claremore, Oklahoma; three stepdaughters, Brenda (Merix) Hughes, Cheryl (Bobby) Mohan and Donna (John) Marr, all of Memphis; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; father, B.E. Garrett; brother, Tommy Garrett, both of El Paso and a sister, Wanda Posey, of Pine Bluff. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Mae Garrett, son, William Eddie Smith and brother, Kenneth Garrett.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Avenue, Little Rock, Arkansas 72207.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Thursday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.northlittlerockfuneralhome.com.
