Dorothy Louise Belew, 93, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026. She was born on June 11, 1933, and lived a life centered on love, family, and the lasting relationships she built throughout the years. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Virginia Love, who passed away on January 17, 2000; her longtime husband, Loyd Short, who passed away on March 22, 2003; and her husband, Glin Belew, who passed away on December 4, 2012.
She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory. She is survived by her grandchildren, Paul Gill and his wife, Cassie Gill, and Rhonda Dixon-France and her husband, Jim France. Dorothy was also blessed with great-grandchildren Hannah Dixon and her companion, Alex Rosales, Jacob Dixon, and Madalynn Jannetti (Matthew).
